Yosemite Guide

There is countless information about Yosemite in literature and online guides, and yet I'm here to provide my own as well. While I have limited experience in the park to draw from directly (5 trips as now, with two more planned), I have immesurable enthusiasm for all aspects of the park. Despite now living 800 miles away, I am constantly fascinated by it. In my endless pursuits of more information about Yosemite I've discovered an abundance of information is available in the public domain, much of it via the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Park Service (NPS) online. While it's public domain, it is still buried and inaccessible without tediously piecing it all together. That's where I come along - I started pulling all these pieces together and, in the spirit of sharing as much as I can with others, I am attempting to bring as much of it as possible to anyone who cares to look.

I have two principle interests with Yosemite - it's endless miles of trails, and it's endless photographic potential. I hope to provide information of value to others with common interest. I can't compete with those who've poured so much of their time into book and guides already available, but hopefully supplement it instead. You'll find links to those other resources as well. It will take some time to complete the full scope of what I'd like to get online, so as always please bear with me if you find obvious gaps. You'll find google maps and google earth tools embeded throughout, as I find these to be the best and easiest tools publically available.
